GoZupees Refund Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds for services provided by SILICON BIZTECH LIMITED, trading as GoZupees ("GoZupees", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy is an integral part of our Terms of Service and applies to all customers.

We are committed to providing a fair and transparent billing process. Please review this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding refunds.

1. General Refund Policy

As a standard practice, payments made to GoZupees for our services are non-refundable, except in the specific cases outlined in Section 4 of this policy. This includes, but is not limited to, subscription fees, usage credits, and other service-related charges.

2. Subscription Fees & Billing Cycles

2.1. Account Cancellation

Upon cancellation of your GoZupees account, you will not receive a refund for any past payments, including the current billing cycle. Your account will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period, after which your credit card will not be charged again.

2.2. Account Downgrades

If you remove a user or downgrade your plan, the new, lower-priced plan will become effective from the next billing cycle. No refunds or credits will be issued for the price difference in the current billing cycle.

2.3. Account Upgrades

In the case of an account upgrade (such as adding a new user or moving to a higher-tier plan), you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle.

Example: If your billing cycle is from the 1st to the 31st of the month and you add a new user on the 15th, you will only be charged approximately 50% of that user's fee for the current month.

3. Usage-Based Costs

Payments for usage-based services are strictly non-refundable. This applies to all past payments for:

  • Calling Credits
  • Per-minute Call Costs
  • Texting Costs (SMS & MMS)
  • Fax Costs
  • Number Porting Fees
  • Any other custom engineering or one-time fees

These charges are directly tied to services consumed and costs incurred by GoZupees from our telecommunications partners.

4. Cases Eligible for Refund

Refund requests will be considered only under the following circumstances:

  1. Duplicate Payment: If you are charged twice for the same billing period due to a system error.
  2. Erroneous Charge After Cancellation: If you are charged by mistake after your account has been successfully cancelled and the paid-for service period has ended.

GoZupees reserves the right to refuse refund requests in cases of suspected fraud, abuse of our services, or violation of our Terms of Service.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund for an eligible charge, you must:

  • Submit your request to billing@gozupees.com.
  • Include the transaction details (date, amount, and transaction ID) and a clear explanation of the reason for the request.
  • Submit the request within thirty (30) days of the charge in question.

Our billing team will review your request and respond within 7-10 business days. Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used for the transaction.

6. Country-Specific Provisions

Due to varying local laws and regulations, the following provisions apply to customers in specific regions. These terms supplement the general policy above.

6.1. United Kingdom & European Union

For consumers (not business customers) residing in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to a 14-day "cooling-off" period to withdraw from a service contract. However, this right to a refund may be lost if you begin using the service.

  • Right to Cancel: You may cancel your subscription within 14 days of your initial purchase without giving any reason.
  • Loss of Right: By starting to use the GoZupees service (e.g., making calls, sending messages, configuring numbers), you acknowledge that you waive your right to a full refund under the cooling-off period. If you cancel after using the service, you may be charged for the services consumed during that period.

6.2. United States

Unless otherwise required by specific state law, the general refund policy outlined above applies. For example, customers in California have specific rights regarding cancellation, which can be exercised by mail or email. GoZupees complies with all applicable state-level consumer protection laws.

6.3. Australia

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). For major failures with the service, you are entitled to:

  • Cancel your service contract with us; and
  • A refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.

A major failure occurs when the service is substantially unfit for its common purpose and cannot easily and within a reasonable time be made fit, or when the service creates an unsafe situation. This does not typically cover minor service interruptions or issues that can be resolved in a timely manner.

GoZupees reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy on our website. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
